weekend in jasper

ahoy

rad weekend. laris and i went camping in jasper, we had perfect weather and got a couple swell hikes in.we had to go gentle b/c i had my appendix out the week before last.
unfortunately i had to miss the sinister 7 run i'd been training for, butwhat the hell can you? on the bright side - we brought the dog camping and hiking with us which was a first and she reeeeally had a great time. didnt see much wildlife since we stuckto crowded areas. camped @ wapiti.
laris beat me by 1 single point in an epic crib match but i didnt lose my temper and crush her, i really wanted to throw the crib board into the fire but my better senses prevailed. xavier rudds playing tonight & we'll go.

well it just occured to me i should use this site for the purpose it was designed.. to journal, not just to post links that interest me.. so here goes:

im building a fence with larissa's dad. i'm looking forward to not tieing the dog up. i played tennis with jake & cathy yesterday. and this weekend we met karey's new bf for the second time, he seems okay. had a good run yesterday but i need to start adding more km to each jaunt. 2weeks til sasquatch. it was truly a weekend du jour.

ah spring has finally sprung. what better time than now to sit indoors and type away on a cpu.

im starting to plan a canoe trip down the mississippi river. convincing a friend will be the hardest part. however, i am set to do this within a couple years.
